Magellan manufactures, designs and develops products for three specific business areas; the Aerostructures business, the Aeroengine business and the Defence and Space business.

According to Don Boitson, Vice-President and General Manager, 95% of the company's products are exported around the world to countries in United States, Europe, Asia and Africa, and it's essential to know and understand what is happening in that global marketplace.

Boitson says "We have to keep pace with the right technology; whether it's capital equipment, Lean training or manufacturing processes...making sure we have the workforce that is trained and able to take advantage of those technologies to keep us competitive."
