The Emerging award will capture businesses that have started new companies with significant future potential. It will recognize relatively new companies who are distinguishing themselves through growth, impact and innovation. These organizations are likely to become future leaders in Manitoba manufacturing and exporting.
Criteria used to determine recipients for this award will include:
- The degree of revenue growth
- The growth in impact on the labor market
- The introduction of new technology and innovation
- Degree of export sales relative to total sales
- Achievement of important milestones
- The growth in impact on the Manitoba and the global marketplace
- Minimum 3 years in business, demonstrating both financial and product sustainability.
- Sales must be driven through manufacturing the product sold. Service-oriented businesses are not included in this award.
