Discovery Program Overview
Bursaries & Scholarships
The Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Manitoba is pleased to provide financial assistance to those students who demonstrate high levels of aptitude and who seek to further develop their skills in post secondary education and training. Bursaries and scholarships are awarded on the basis of achievement and ability by participation in the Advanced Manufacturing Discovery Program. Each participating team with a maximum of eight members, may qualify to receive support to continue “career training” once they have successfully completed their high school diploma.
CME Bursaries are presented as:
LEADING EDGE – $300.00 each member of highest scoring team
INNOVATION – $150.00 each member of second highest scoring team
DISTINCTION – $50.00 each member of third highest scoring team
Scholarships are presented as:
Red River College
Gold – $200. tuition scholarship to each member
Silver – $125. tuition scholarship to each member
Bronze – $75. tuition scholarship to each member
University of Manitoba Faculty of Engineering
Gold – $250. to undergraduate students who:
- have, as high school students (grade 9 through 12), placed first in any eligible individual or team competition that requires participants to demonstrate technological excellence;
- are subsequently admitted to, and register full-time in, their first year of study in the Faculty of Engineering via either direct entry or University 1.
Applicants may apply for bursaries once they have successfully completed high school and can demonstrate enrollment in post secondary education and training.
Application for scholarships should be made directly to Red River College Student Service Centre or University of Manitoba Scholarships, Bursaries, and Awards Committee of the Faculty of Engineering.
